Writing Cynthia’s Communique is a labor of love.
I’m now in my fourth year and expect to continue the blog through the end of the year. Then I’m going to decide whether to continue it.
In the meantime, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who subscribes, reads it and/or passes it on to others. WordPress recently shared individual reports with bloggers. In 2012, I posted 105 new posts. The busiest day of the year was April 18th with 52 views. The most popular post that day was National Columnists Day.
Most people find my blog via Facebook, LinkedIn or NFPW’s website.
Occasionally someone will tell me face to face that they enjoy reading my blog. It’s something any author loves to hear. I also have several faithful readers, who also regularly comments on my blog, and I’d like to give them a shout out. I’m only going to use their first names, and I hope they know who they are. I greatly appreciate the feedback. It keeps me going. So thank you…

I don’t know where 2013 will take the blog. A friend suggested I publish some of my blogs so I am considering putting together an e-book based on the blog. In the spring I’m taking a class, which may help me decide whether to do so or not. At the least, it will be the basis for another blog.
Thank you for another great year. And if I may be so bold, would you share my blog with a colleague or friend whom you think would benefit from reading it?
Thanks!
I regularly read your blog posts and feel more connected to NFPW because of your blog. I hope you continue as your short, timely posts are often filled with practical tips. Thank you.
Hey now, where’s my shout-out? I helped get this thing started! 🙂
Hey David,
Yep! You were there in the beginning to answer those niggling questions like how to set the timezone. Now I pay it forward on the blog helping others.
Thanks to everyone for their encouraging comments. I’ll keep learning and I’ll keep sharing.
Thank YOU for your efforts. Enjoy the tidbits and insights you share on a regular basis. It takes a lot of discipline to blog on a regular basis…. and be interesting as well. Good job!
I too am a faithful reader and find it valuable. Thank your for your work for NFPW and the good information you send
I’ve read your blog since connecting through NFPW. I’ve enjoyed your posts and look forward to them. You are such a talent. While I may not have made comments, many of your topics have been spot on and while reading them I can clearly hear your voice. I know how much thought and vision you put into your writing. It would be a shame to silence your work on the page. In a selfish way, I vote for another year.
I’ve read your blog since connecting to it through NFPW and enjoy everything you have posted. I would encourage you to continue to share your voice and your views. You are so talented. It would be a shame to let go of something you’ve developed and readers look forward to.
Cynthia: Not sure I’m the “Nancy” you are referring to, but I’m surely a faithful reader. Many times, in the past years, your blog has given me much to ponder and also reminded me that there is a world outside of the tiny one I inhabit. Since I tend to procrastinate, your diligence has reminded me that I should pay more attention to keeping up. Also, your thoughtful posts and encouragement have, at times, been the only upbeat thing in my day. With that in mind, a big “Thank You” to you is in order. I vote for another year. NWB
